Retired Delta State High Court judge, Justice Ifeoma Okogwu, was found d3ad in her Asaba home, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding her d3ath
Security sources told Zagazola Makama that her body was discovered in the sitting room of her residence at No. 8 Tom Halen Street, behind IBTC Bank, with her hands and legs tied and her mouth covered with a wrapper.

Her brother, Emeka Okogwu, reported the incident to police at around 8:00 a.m. during a visit to her home. Patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.The on-duty security guard, Lucky Matthew, was arrested for questioning, while another guard, Godwin Vanen, is currently missing and being sought by authorities.
Justice Okogwu’s body was evacuated and deposited at Maduemeie Hospital Mortuary, Asaba. Police have transferred the case to SCID Asaba for discreet investigation as they work to determine the motive and identify the assailants. Forensic evidence is being collected from the residence as part of ongoing efforts.
Residents expressed shock over the mvrder, describing Justice Okogwu as a quiet and respected member of the community. Security experts urged improved monitoring of residential security personnel in light of the incident.
