A once-heartwarming medical crowdfunding campaign for a Nigerian woman battling breast and armpit cancer has exploded into a major online scandal — leaving thousands of supporters in disbelief.
Esther Omolola, widely known on social media as “Auntieesther pepper girl” (@MensahOmolola), had gained sympathy and donations after sharing emotional videos detailing her battle with cancer. In a clip posted on December 4, 2025, she tearfully announced that her biopsy results were out, thanked supporters, and credited a user identified as @auntymuse_ for breaking the news to her.
But just a day later, the entire campaign took a shocking turn.
Sir Dickson Quits, Cites Manipulation and Dishonesty
The campaign’s lead coordinator, popular X personality Sir Dickson (@Wizarab10), released a lengthy and explosive statement announcing that both he and the medical team were withdrawing from Esther’s case.
According to him, multiple red flags had emerged — enough to make him cut ties completely.
Key Claims From Sir Dickson’s Statement:
- Esther is a Jehovah’s Witness and refuses to accept blood transfusion, a medically essential step before beginning chemotherapy.
- Doctors offered safer, cheaper, and faster treatment options involving transfusion, but she insisted on alternative procedures that would cost far more and take longer.
- A medical professional identified as Dr. Sina reportedly tried repeatedly to explain the medical risks, but she declined.
- Esther allegedly asked her associate @AUNTYMUSE_ to lie to Sir Dickson and the doctor about her willingness to receive a transfusion.
- When @AUNTYMUSE_ refused to lie, their relationship reportedly fell apart.
- Sir Dickson concluded that “Aunty Esther is not a good or honest person.”
He added that all money donated so far would remain with Esther’s family or church members, as he would no longer be involved.
Both he and Dr. Sina have reportedly agreed to compensate @AUNTYMUSE_ for her efforts and emotional stress.
