  • Some People Need to Start Showing Their Achievements — Humility Is Making Trolls Disrespect Them

  • There are people on this app who genuinely need to start showing off a bit. If they won’t, maybe some of us will start helping them publicize the great things they’ve built. Because honestly, their extreme humility is beginning to invite unnecessary insult.

It’s becoming annoying watching little boys and girls who know next to nothing talk down on people who have worked hard, built real value, and achieved tangible success.

Recently, someone boldly called Oga Olajide Abiola a “hungry APC member looking for contract.” If humans were like tortoises, perhaps he would be carrying all his achievements on his back for everyone to see, just so people understand the weight of what he has accomplished.

In another corner of social media, some people accused Dr. Charles Awuzie of lying because of $120k — money that isn’t even enough to buy a single premium car. Others claimed he can’t afford $30k for the Big Brain Naija prize. As someone privileged to be among the investors in that project, I honestly wonder what these critics think we contributed to build it. Their ignorance is loud, and sadly, they are proud of it.

Calling Dr. Charles a liar is not just an insult to him; it also disrespects reputable brands like Innoson Vehicles who are sponsoring the show. The show is scheduled to kick off early next year and as CEO, I’ll personally be recommending to the board that the prize money be increased.

Then there are those calling the PamTech CEO a scammer and noisemaker. I nearly slapped my phone in disbelief. Father Lord, please forgive the anger. Some people just talk because data is cheap.

These men show barely 20 percent of who they truly are and what they are worth. Yet, social media has become a leveler where people borrow data and confidently insult those who have done them no wrong — people they should actually be learning from.

It’s perfectly fine to have a different opinion. It’s okay to disagree. But doing so disrespectfully is simply foolish.

If you must insult anybody, face people like us who are still climbing. Fabricate lies, drag us, attack us — we’ll take it with a smile, after all we’re still “broke.”

But there are certain people you insult and it only exposes how bitter, uninformed, and unserious you are.

Anyway, one thing is clear — Flavour is about to make my prophet Odumeje miss heaven. 😂
