Security agencies have declared Chief Morocco Oparaugo, a native of Umuhu community in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State, wanted over his alleged involvement in a disturbing network linked to organ harvesting and ritual-related crimes.
According to security sources, Oparaugo is suspected to be connected to a criminal operation allegedly targeting victims kidnapped along the Aba–Owerri Road axis. Investigators claim the victims were reportedly taken to a hotel and mortuary believed to be linked to the suspect, where they were allegedly held or killed.
Authorities say the suspect, who is also accused of managing a mortuary, has gone into hiding following intensified investigations into the activities of the syndicate. His photograph has now been circulated as part of efforts to track him down.
Law enforcement agencies stress that the allegations are under active investigation and have urged members of the public to assist with credible information that could lead to the suspect’s arrest.
Anyone who sees the individual or has knowledge of his whereabouts is advised to report immediately to the nearest police station or contact security agencies through official channels.
Police have assured residents that all information provided will be treated with strict confidentiality as efforts continue to dismantle criminal networks and restore safety along the affected corridors.
