Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has addressed circulating rumours suggesting a possible collaboration or meet-up with popular American streamer IShowSpeed ahead of the latter’s planned 2026 Africa tour, which includes a stop in Ghana.
In a post shared on January 24, 2026, the award-winning musician made it clear that there is currently no formal engagement or confirmed arrangement between him and the internet sensation. According to Shatta Wale, discussions around a meeting are purely speculative at this point.
“There is no engagement between me and IShowSpeed. If in case they reach out, fine,” the singer stated, noting that while nothing is on the table yet, he remains open to the idea should IShowSpeed’s team make contact.
Shatta Wale further explained that such a potential interaction could serve a bigger purpose beyond entertainment, adding that it would be an opportunity to highlight and support emerging Ghanaian content creators and streamers. He specifically mentioned creators like Made In Ghana as talents deserving more global exposure.
The self-acclaimed dancehall king also took a moment to commend IShowSpeed for his recent engagements across Africa, praising the streamer for projecting a positive image of the continent to a global audience.
“God bless him for letting the world see how peaceful and beautiful Africa is,” Shatta Wale said.
IShowSpeed’s Africa tour has continued to generate massive buzz online, with fans eagerly anticipating possible collaborations with African celebrities during his visits across the continent. For now, however, Shatta Wale has made it clear that no official plans have been finalized.
