A New Year’s Eve boat cruise ended in tragedy on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, after a boat carrying ten passengers reportedly capsized in Ilashe. According to eyewitness accounts, only four individuals survived the incident.
Sadly, six people—identified as four young women and two young men—were said to have drowned. Among the deceased were three biological sisters, leaving their family and the community devastated.
