A young Lagos woman, known on X as @mirab3351, has shared a devastating TikTok video recounting her rape by a stalker who broke into her home, used a switchblade to simulate the act, and later sent a taunting message boasting of his impunity. The trauma has left her suicidal and seeking safety with friends.
The ordeal began late on February 15 into February 16. Battling insomnia, she drank alcohol to sleep but stayed awake until 6 a.m. At 9 a.m., a knock at her door led her to open it, thinking it was a neighbor from church. Instead, the intruder shoved her, causing her to hit her head on the fridge and pass out.
She awoke to the assault: mouth gagged with clothes, body tied, unable to scream. The attack lasted over 20 minutes, causing internal bleeding she initially mistook for her period. The perpetrator's message later revealed he used a switchblade to "simulate" being her first, inflicting the injury. On a quiet Sunday morning with neighbors at church, her struggles went unheard.
In the emotional video, she apologizes to followers for breaking down, admits feeling defeated, and insists she's "okay" amid clear distress. She's now staying with friends for support.
The assailant, Priston (@priston186 on X), sent a graphic DM confessing to stalking her after two rejections. He paid accomplices to isolate her, tracked her location, and detailed the assault while complimenting her body and mocking her poverty. He claimed his father's wealth would bury any case, ending with delusions of a future relationship.
The message (edited for clarity): "I'm sure you don't know me because you decided to close ur eyes even after waking up from passing out... we have met twice and you kept ignoring me... I had to pay boys to stop empty bike... you complimented the way I speak... but you still refuse to give me ur number... I wish you could make some sound but I'm scared if I take out that cloth... your body is ohhh my God amazing... no bumps no rashes... that baby punany... my father has the money to bury the case... you can't find me... keep the little money to feed... I gats force two finger in before I use the face blade cut you to simulate me being the first... damn ur body is amazing... maybe 4 to 5 years we would meet again... I love you don't see me as a bad person... you turned me down twice... bye for now."
This confession highlights entitlement and wickedness, fueling online outrage and exposing gender-based violence in Nigeria, where power often protects abusers.
Groups like the Mirabel Centre and Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency urge prompt reporting, offering free aid.
