2026: Osun APC Unveils Oluwole Oke as Campaign DG, Targets Adeleke’s Seat

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has announced the composition of its campaign committee ahead of the 2026 governorship election, naming five-term lawmaker Oluwole Oke as the Director General of its state campaign.

Oke, who represents Ijesa-North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, will lead the party’s strategic efforts as it prepares for the August 15, 2026 governorship poll.

The party also unveiled key figures to coordinate campaigns across the three senatorial districts, including Prince Adebayo Adeleke (Osun Central), Prince Dotun Babayemi (Osun West), and Hon. Thomas Ogungbangbe (Osun East).

In his acceptance remarks, Oke expressed appreciation to party leaders and members, while projecting confidence in the APC’s chances. He declared that Governor Ademola Adeleke should “start packing” from the Government House, insisting that the party is well-positioned to reclaim power in the state.

He further stated that many individuals who played roles in the 2022 electoral outcome have now aligned with the APC, adding that the party has the experience and structure required to unseat an incumbent government.

APC governorship candidate, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, called on party members to mobilize at the grassroots and fully engage with the newly established campaign structure. He expressed optimism that the party would emerge victorious in the upcoming election.

Similarly, Prince Adebayo Adeleke, who will coordinate the Osun Central campaign, assured that the party’s activities would be peaceful and well-organized, while cautioning opposition parties against actions that could lead to unrest.

The APC’s announcement marks a significant step in early political positioning in Osun State, as parties intensify preparations for what is expected to be a highly contested governorship race.
