ASUU UNIJOS Resumes Academic Activities After March 2026 Salaries Are Paid – But Allowances Still Hanging

University of Jos students, the long wait is finally over! The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Jos chapter, has officially called off its strike and resumed academic activities after confirming that March 2026 salaries have been paid to lecturers. In a statement released by the union, they made it clear that while the basic salaries have landed, the Earned Academic Allowances (EAA) are still unpaid. The lecturers are urging the Federal Government to stop the partial treatment and fully implement all agreements signed with ASUU. The union didn’t mince words: any further delay in clearing the outstanding allowances could trigger another strike. According to them, enough is enough – they want the government to do the needful before things escalate again. Students and parents, let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope this one doesn’t blow up like the last time. We’ll keep you updated as the situation unfolds.
