VeryDarkMan has criticized Nigeria’s security situation, focusing on what he describes as a worrying shift in how b. anditry incidents are handled in the country.
In a recent statement, he recalled how, in earlier years, clashes involving soldiers in communities often led to panic among residents.
He said;
“I remember back then that whenever f!ght happen for in a community and it involves army officers getting be.aten by the community people, make everybody just run comot for that community cos when the Army people come back, it’ll be de.adly.
Now fast forward to 2026, band!ts k!dnapp£d Army general and his wife, kpai the general and the entire Army haven’t gone anything about it till now”.
According to him, once military personnel were a.ttacked or injured in a community setting, people usually fled because they expected a forceful and immediate response when the army returned.
He contrasted that with what is happening now. He pointed to a reported case where ba.ndits recently k!dnapped a Nigerian Army general and his wife, and later killed the general. He said what stands out to him is not just the a.ttack itself, but the lack of visible or decisive action afterward.
