Human rights activist Israel Joe has addressed the controversy surrounding a leaked chat between the late Favour Agbro and detained content creator, Odogwu Asaba
The leaked conversation, which showed Favour asking Odogwu Asaba had many questioning the reason behind her request.
According to him:
“Yes, what you heard was true… being the person that composed the petition leading to the arrest of Odogwu Asaba even after the burial of Favour at Agbaro, a lot of persons are sending messages to confirm what they have heard.
“The money late Miss Favour was requesting from Odogwu Asaba was to treat the infection he gave her. You can see what led to her frustration and depression. R.aped while being disvirgined and given an infection at the same time is crazy.”
Joe further alleged that Favour had never suffered from a sexually transmitted infection before the incident and was left emotionally devastated after she was allegedly intimidated, threatened, and ignored by the same man she accused.
He also referenced one of her messages to Odogwu Asaba, which read:
“This early morning. You are bringing back my tears this man.”
The activist urged the public to stop judging the deceased based on her appearance or actions, saying many people had unfairly questioned her character and even her virginity.
Joe added that Favour’s body would be exhumed for a proper autopsy, while the Delta State Police Command had already obtained her medical records from the hospitals where she reportedly received treatment before her death.
He maintained that justice would be pursued for the late Favour.
