Tragedy has struck the academic and youth service communities following the death of Okebaram Stanley Chimaraoke, a former Student Union Government (SUG) President of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri.
Okebaram, who was serving his mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program in Bayelsa State, was reportedly killed and his body subsequently dumped into a body of water.
Friends, colleagues, and student bodies have expressed profound shock and grief over the untimely passing of the vibrant former student leader, calling on security agencies to ensure a thorough investigation and swift justice for the perpetrators.
There are currently no official statements or reactions from the NYSC Bayelsa management regarding the reported deaath.
