Nigerian dancer and hypeman Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is facing five sexual offense charges in the United Kingdom, including attempted rape, two counts of rape, and two counts of assault by penetration.
The charges were confirmed by Snaresbrook Crown Court in London, which also disclosed that a reporting restriction has been imposed to protect the identity of the complainant.
According to the court, Poco Lee is scheduled to appear before Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026, for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
The court's administrative team leader, James Baker, confirmed the charges, stating that the defendant faces one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The reporting restriction means that details capable of identifying the complainant cannot be published.
Poco Lee's management and legal team have urged the public to exercise restraint while the case proceeds, stressing that the charges are allegations and do not amount to proof of guilt. They have also dismissed claims circulating online that drink-spiking forms part of the charges before the court.
Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence and remains presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty by a court.
The case is expected to return to court on September 15 as the legal proceedings continue.
