The Kaduna State Police Command has dismantled two suspected bandits’ hideouts during a clearance operation in Makarfi Local Government Area of the state.
The operation, conducted in collaboration with the Kaduna State Vigilance Service, was launched following credible intelligence provided by members of the affected communities.
According to the police, operatives raided suspected bandit enclaves around the Durum and Danguzuri areas, extending towards the boundary with Kano State.
Two structures identified as hideouts allegedly used by the bandits to hold abducted victims were dismantled at Rugar Mijin Goggo and Unguwar Maryamu in Danguzuri.
The command said joint security patrols were still ongoing in the affected areas and that normalcy had been restored.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Rabiu Muhammad, commended the security operatives and residents for their cooperation, while urging members of the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies.
The latest operation comes amid intensified security efforts in Makarfi, where police had also recently rescued three kidnapped victims and dislodged another suspected bandits’ hideout.
