A man popularly known as Lekki Street Boy has sparked reactions online after flaunting an alleged bank balance of over ₦42.8 million in a video shared on social media.
In the video, Lekki Street Boy displayed a balance of ₦42,800,320, while declaring that he would spend some of the money on expensive items from comedian and content creator OGB Recent’s new clothing store in Lekki.
The development comes shortly after OGB Recent reportedly described him as broke, a remark that appears to have prompted the public response.
Lekki Street Boy, who has built his online persona around a lavish lifestyle, has previously been seen spending heavily at nightclubs and seeking financial support from celebrities.
At one point, he reportedly claimed to have made about ₦11 million within three months, while also being known for publicly displaying his spending habits.
His latest video has, however, generated mixed reactions. While some social media users celebrated what they described as his financial comeback, others questioned whether the bank balance shown in the video is genuine.
Some users also raised the possibility of what has been described online as a “panic balance” trick, where a banking app display may allegedly be manipulated or presented in a misleading way.
As of the time of this report, OGB Recent had not publicly responded to Lekki Street Boy’s latest display.
