It was a bloody morning as suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked a village in
Plateau State early Saturday, killing an unknown
number of people. The attack on Kankuru village in Riyom local
government area and near Jos happened around 7:00
am, they said. "Presently the casualty figures are not yet known.
But there are casualties," Captain Salisu Mustapha, a
spokesman for the STF. He said the gunmen stormed the mainly village with
guns and machetes, adding that the military had taken
over the area to contain the violence. Plateau state police spokesman Emmanuel Abuh said
