Woman Sells Grand Daugther For N200,000

A grandmother has put away the bond of motherhood by selling her granddaughter for a paltry sum of N200, 000 to buyers.
Security agents in Plateau state apprehended various persons for several offences ranging from armed robbery, car snatching, criminal
conspiracy, culpable homicide and child trafficking among others.
One of the cases undergoing investigation is the trafficking of eight month old Chiamaka Obinna by her grandmother, after deceiving other
children by sending them on errand so as to dispose the baby girl.
According to Chris Olakpe, the Jos police commissioner, the grandmother, Eucharia Anyaegbu dishonestly sent her children on an
errand to pave way for her covert action by trading the eight month old baby Chiamaka Obinna to the buyers.
This incident is one of the several efforts of the plateau state police command to rid the state of criminals and their activities that threaten the
peace of the communities.
Other accused persons were also paraded by the police for armed robbery, car snatching and culpable homicide.
Various exhibits such as live ammunitions, cartridges, jack knife,stolen vehicles and goods including electronics were displayed.
