See Shocking Photos Of How Two Sisters Escaped Death After Fire Razed Down Their Home In Atlanta

What a lucky escape. Two sisters in Atlanta, Georgia were forced to jump for their lives from a third-floor window - just seconds before the residential building was engulfed in flames. Both had been spotted screaming and frantically banging on the window by their neighbors before fire trucks had reached the scene of the blaze, which destroyed the homes of 29 people.

Neighbors had advised them to break the window and jump out, which they did. As the younger sister plunged to the ground, shards of glass apparently caught her leg, cutting it 'wide open'.

The girls were caught by rescuers waiting on the decking of the house and then taken to hospital. Witnesses said they were so disoriented they could not even recall their mother's phone number. Their conditions remain unknown.
