Nearby villagers rushed to save lives before firefighters arrived, and
Mr. Liu Fengming, one of the rescuers, sadly found that his wife was the
one buried in the scattered bricks, and was dead. “She said she
would go out buying something and I didn’t think too much,” Liu
recalled to China News, with tears rolling down his face.
Liu added that he yelled towards his yard to tell his wife to stay at home when he heard a huge sound outside indicating that some traffic accident had happened. But never had Liu realized his wife had gone outside before his warning.
Firefighters later arrived for rescue and more investigations are underway.
