A Burundi cameraman -Christophe Nkezabahizi who had been working as a
cameraman for Burundi's state television for 30 years was brutally
murdered by suspected policemen, according to BBC reports. The
cameraman, his wife Alice and their two teenage children were at home
last night when policemen entered their compound saying they were
looking for people they believed had been shooting at them.
Police say they were involved in an operation to free three of their colleagues who had been kidnapped in the area.
The family's domestic servant said they barely had time to say it was "nobody from here" before they were shot dead on the spot.
This is a fate that has befallen many since end of last April when Burundi's President Pierre Nkurunziza decided to bid for a third controversial term in office.
