The beef started when Reekado Banks of Mavins Crew owned by Don Jazzy won the prestigious next rated category. Everyone knew YBNL Lil Kesh deserved the award.
Olamide was able to come on stage when YBNL artiste Adekunle Gold won BEST ‘ALTERNATIVE’ SONG, Olamide collected the mic While expressing his appreciation, LilKesh prostrated before Olamide who then took the mic and said; "Lil Kesh is own Next Rated artist. F**k that shit! The streets ti take over. Every f**king single was a hit back to back. From to Shoki to Efejoku. Ko ni dafun Iya anybody", he then bursted the mic and they all walked off the stage. then left the event with his whole crew.
Don Jazzy was awarded the special recognition awards in his acceptance speech he said IF OLAMIDE NEEDED THE CAR HE SHOULD COME AND CARRY IT.
Note that olamide has left with his crew when don jazzy made that statement.
