Senator Omar Hambagda, a staunch supporter of former President Olusegun
Obasanjo's third-term agenda, died on Democracy Day.
For supporting the agenda that nearly crippled Nigeria's democracy,
Senator Hambagda was once drenched in rains of stones by his
constituents.
Born July 28, 1949, Senator Hambagda represented
Borno South Senatorial District and chaired a subcommittee on the review
of constitution -- a committee that approved what was then widely
termed as "diabolic agenda".
May his soul rest in peace, amen.
