Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, the Abia State Governor, has approved the dissolution of the leadership of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers with immediate effect.
This was contained in a terse statement issued by the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Sir Gabriel Onyendilefu and obtained by DAILY POST on Thursday morning.
The Governor also approved a four-man Committee made up of eminent Traditional Rulers to work out the modalities for the selection of a new leadership.
Eze Eberechi Dick, the immediate past Chairman of Abia State Traditional Rulers Council is named as chairman of the committee, according to the statement.
Others are; Eze Dr. Ezo Ukandu, Eze Dr Isaac Ikonne and Eze John Akaliro.
