Tension as petrol tanker falls in Awka

Residents of the capital territory of Anambra, Awka, are currently under tension.
This is following news of a fallen petroleum tanker in the city on Saturday morning.

The tanker was said to be conveying petrol to one of the filling stations in the town when it fell to a gutter.
Residents and passersby are currently on the run, just as DAILY POST gathered that men of the state fire service have arrived the scene.
A source said the incident happened about 7.am opposite Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church along Zik Avenue, Awka.

As of the time of filing this report, policemen and other security personnel had cordoned off the arena to avoid the repeat of the Onitsha inferno.
