Nigerians have been warned to stop drinking Garri, the director of Public Health, Enugu State has adviced.
Dr Boniface Okolo, the director of Public Health, Enugu state warned that drinking Garri has to stop for Nigerians to avoid contacting Lassa Fever. He gave this warning when he spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Saturday, January 18.
Drinking Garri in Nigeria is as old as the country itself and to many, it has been saving so many lives. Cassava flakes as some call it has a fast means of preparation and is one of the most affordable food in the country. With just water, garri and sugar, many Nigerians living in poverty have been able to sustain themselves
