Award winning Port Harcourt City based talented artiste and music producer Darlington Jeff Donald popularly known as Jeffy Jeff in a media chat recently recounts how he spent 2years to compose his recent single titled OVERCOMER.
In a series of question and answer section, the creative artiste took his time to dazzle members of the media on his creative background, family, academics, marital status and music.
Born into the family of Mr and Mrs Donald Ahanotu, he is an indigene of Ages in Oguta Local government area of Imo State. His late father until his demise served in the Nigerian Army as a Staff Sergent while his mother Mrs. Joy Donald who hails from Buguma in Rivers State is a nurse.
Jeffy Jeff who at a tender age discovered his singing prowess at his childhood church "Jehovah the King Holy Sabbath Mission" Bonny Island where he was a member of the church's children choir before migrating to Port Harcourt where he commenced he professionally kicked off his musical career as a singer, songwriter and music producer.
The music mystro who has been behind the scene since 2005 is reputed to have worked with several music artistes in Nigeria and in 2016, Jeffy Jeff officially got signed on to Asabuja Entertainment where he produced Iyawo mi for Mi2 and several other hit songs during the period of his contract with Asabuja Entertainment, After the expiration of the contract, he got signed on to NoLimit Music in 2018 where he released few singles and two amazing videos, "Okaka (Answer) and Blessing".
Currently signed on to one of the biggest entertainment power-house in Nigeria, Segz Records. The Port Harcourt based entertainment outfit released his recent single titled OVERCOMER. The singer and music producer who is the only child of his parents hinted that he is currently married to music.
The artiste who refers to his style of music as Good Music says the reasons why he identifies his pattern as thus is because it is a combination of good sounds ranging from several genres and delivered to positively edify listeners conciousness, He went on to say that in big to give the society the best, it took him about two years to be satisfied in the composition and production of the hit single, OVERCOMER.
He continued that the song is a song for an all purpose song as it portrays the spirit of gratitude to the creator who rewards diligence, he adds that it is a champion song for individuals who have at various point fought and conquered in life's battle victoriously.
Jeffy Jeff who tapped his singing style from the likes of Late reggae sensation Raskimono, 2Baba, Sunny Neji and Busy signal currently has the audio and video of his recently released single OVERCOMER gathering massive momentum and airplays accross Local and International Radio and Tv Stations.
