  • Ogun APC suspends Gbenga Daniel, Folarin for Anti-Party Activities
  •

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has officially ratified the indefinite suspension of Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin for alleged anti-party activities

The decision, approved by the State Working Committee (SWC), comes after both members failed to cooperate with disciplinary investigations conducted by their respective wards.

The SWC, chaired by Chief Yemi Sanusi, met on August 19 with sixteen members in attendance to consider reports from Disciplinary Committees established in Ward 4 and Ward 6 of Sagamu Local Government.

Daniel and Folarin were alleged to have engaged in misconduct that contravened party directives and to have attempted to influence party members to withdraw petitions lodged against them.

Both committees invited the members to present evidence or defend themselves, but the invitations were ignored.

According to the party, the members failed to attend disciplinary meetings, did not submit written defenses, and allegedly harassed party members in an effort to obstruct the inquiries.

Following careful consideration of witness statements and documentary evidence, the committees resolved to suspend both members indefinitely, pending the outcome of further investigations.

The SWC said it endorsed the suspensions to preserve the integrity of the party’s disciplinary process and reinforce adherence to its constitution.

The APC’s Director of Publicity in Ogun State, Nuberu Olufemi, affirmed that the ratification reflects the party’s commitment to maintaining internal discipline and ensuring that all members comply with party rules.
