  • A-list artistes should stop jumping on remixes of upcoming artistes – Brymo
  •

Singer, Brymo has taken aim at top mainstream artists, urging them to stop frequently jumping on remixes of songs by emerging talents

In a strong message shared on social media, Brymo called out prominent acts like Burna Boy and Davido, saying their involvement often overshadows the work of newer artists.

Brymo emphasized that emerging artists need space to grow and build their own identities without being overshadowed by more established performers. His comments have sparked discussions in the Nigerian music industry about the balance between collaboration and allowing new talents to shine independently. He wrote:

“Dear Nigerian mainstream ‘A-listers,’… Burna… Davido… and Co… stop jumping on every hit song in a remix, especially releases by newer acts… let other artistes find their own way. The pretending to be helping them reach higher is a ridiculous watch… stop seeking relevance in the efforts of ones who know little about the business… it’s vile!!”
