Life has a way of revealing truths we never expected. For Donatella Kofoshi, the painful experiences that shaped her journey were already foretold—yet she didn’t understand it at the time.
According to Donatella, she once believed her father was placing a curse on her. Little did she know that “Ifa doesn’t lie.” Today, she says her life experiences stand as proof.
She narrated how she ended up with two difficult baby daddies.
“One absconded,” she said, “and the other hit me right after I had his baby. He doesn’t send upkeep because he believes since he doesn’t ask me for money when our child visits his grandparents, I don’t deserve to ask him for anything when my son is with me.”
Despite the challenges, Donatella refuses to be defeated.
“I Don’t Joke With My Skills and My Business”
In her words:
‘Wetin I never sell? I even sold nudes at some point — Opelope Snapchat to ban me. Maa sha jeun nah.’
She explains that she works tirelessly because one job alone cannot feed her and her children.
Beyond her own responsibilities, she also supports young girls with whatever little she can, noting that she doesn’t believe in capitalism or holding back help.
Whenever she gets the chance to stock food at home, she shares with those around her.
A Heart Full of Gratitude
As she celebrates her birth month, Donatella expresses deep gratitude:
> “I’m grateful to the universe, to Eledua, and to my friends for how far I’ve come. I’ve given up on some things — lessons learnt, and life goes on, omo iya.”
Her story is one of resilience, survival, and choosing strength even when life tries to break you.
