  • “My Mum Is Fighting For Her Life… We Need N60M To Save Her” — Emeka Nobis

  • Posted by Emeka Nobis on Facebook

For the Nobis family, life has not been the same. Every day now begins with fear, prayers, and a desperate hope for survival.

Emeka Nobis, the first son of the family, has come forward with the heaviest plea of his life — a cry for help as both his parents battle cancer at the same time.

“My Mum Wakes Up Every Morning Fighting For Her Life”

Emeka writes with a trembling heart:

    > “My mum has been fighting. She wakes daily with hope and faith to beat this disease.”

For months, he watched his once-energetic mother transform into someone who now struggles to sit, walk, or sleep. Her smile is fading, her strength draining, but she has refused to give up.

A Double Tragedy: Two Parents, Two Cancers

The heartbreak didn’t start with his mum — it began with his father.

His dad was diagnosed with Stage 1 Prostate Cancer, a sickness that has demanded treatment for three long years. The family poured everything they had into stabilizing him at Six C Specialist Hospital, Owerri.

Just when they thought the worst was behind them, life struck again.

In December 2024, Emeka’s mum discovered a lump. By January, doctors confirmed Stage 1 Breast Cancer. The family prayed it was caught early.

But the next news shattered them completely.

After further tests at Lakeshore Cancer Centre, Lagos, her cancer had escalated to Stage 3 — in just two months.

    Two months.
That was all it took for their world to collapse.

The Fight, The Bills, The Pain

    His mother has undergone:

    6 cycles of chemotherapy

Each cycle costing over ₦5 million

They paid for everything — because what wouldn’t a child do to save his mother?

But now, the doctors have recommended:

    14 more aggressive cycles

    Total cost: Over ₦60 million

As the first son, Emeka has been carrying both his parents’ medical bills, selling what he can, borrowing where he must, praying where he feels helpless.

    He writes:

“It has become overwhelming. The emotional toll… the financial pressure… it’s more than we can carry alone.”

Nigeria Responded — And Hope Rose Again

By the grace of kind-hearted Nigerians,
₦30,125,000 has been raised so far.

    Half of the required sum.

    Halfway to hope.
Halfway to saving a mother who still wants to live.
Halfway to lifting the weight crushing this family.

But time is running out, and the treatment must continue.

His mum is still at Lakeshore Cancer Centre, following strict medical and dietary instructions as she fights every single day for a chance to stay alive.

A Son’s Heartfelt Plea To Nigeria

    Emeka writes with tears:

    > “Please… if you feel moved to help, any support will be a balm to our pain. Please help us save my mother.”

    Account Name: Nobis Nnaemeka J
    Bank: Sterling Bank

He begs Nigerians to share the message far and wide because every share increases the chances of reaching someone who can help.

“Thank You For Standing With Us”

He ends his message with gratitude:

    > “Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. God bless you.”

A family is fighting for the life of the woman who held them together.
A son is doing everything he can.
But he cannot do it alone.
