A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded at a hotel swimming pool after two young men drowned in the presence of their friends. A witness, who has since been traumatized by the incident, shared the painful account of what happened.
According to the eyewitness, four friends arrived at the pool to relax, have fun, and enjoy themselves. But sadly, only two walked out alive.
One of the victims, identified as a non-swimmer, was extremely cautious from the moment they arrived. He avoided the deep end and kept his distance. However, in an unfortunate turn of events, one of his friends reportedly dragged him into the 8-ft deep part of the pool despite his desperate pleas.
“You could see the fear in his eyes,” the witness narrated. “He begged and begged, but his friend didn’t stop. He pushed him into the deep end and left him to save himself.”
The struggling victim, in a frantic attempt to hold onto something for support, accidentally pulled another friend into the water. Both drowned as there was no one around capable of deep-diving to rescue them.
The witness described the incident as one of the most traumatizing moments of their life:
“I have never been this hurt for someone I don’t know. I can’t sleep properly, I keep dreaming about it. My heart breaks for their families.”
Shockingly, despite being in a hotel—not at a beach—there was no trained personnel on standby to assist during the emergency. Many online have also expressed disbelief that such a facility lacked proper safety measures.
