A Facebook user, Marvee, has narrated how a simple WhatsApp mistake has now escalated into a full-blown marital crisis for her close friend.
According to her, the problem began after her friend got married and travelled for her honeymoon. While scrolling through old photos on her phone, she stumbled on an old picture of her friend and the artiste who had performed at the wedding—a picture that appeared suggestive, showing the two looking unusually close.
Intending to share the picture privately with someone else to gossip, she said she mistakenly posted it on her WhatsApp Status instead. Before she could delete it, her friend’s husband had already viewed it.
This immediately raised suspicion, and he confronted his wife about her relationship with the artiste. She insisted she had only just met him, but the picture suggested otherwise.
Things quickly escalated.
On their honeymoon, the groom reportedly became angry, packed his belongings, and left the hotel, abandoning his new wife. He also deleted all their wedding photos from his Instagram page.
Now, the bride’s family, as well as her husband’s family, are aware of the incident, and no one is taking her calls. She has returned home alone, crying and calling her friend repeatedly, saying her marriage may be heading for a divorce.
Marvee, who shared the story, said she has been unable to sleep or eat, as guilt has overwhelmed her. She emphasized that she loves her friend deeply and never intended to destroy her marriage.
> “If I could rewind time, I would throw that phone inside the ocean,” she wrote.
“One WhatsApp mistake has now turned into a life problem. What can I do?”
She continues to pray that the husband forgives his wife and that the situation calms down before things become irreversible.
