A deeply tragic incident has thrown the community of Badagry, Lagos State, into mourning as a widow and mother of three, Mrs. Oluwafemi Afolabi, was gruesomely murdered and dismembered by a native doctor she had trusted for spiritual help.
According to reports, Mrs. Afolabi, who owned a small provision store, had been in contact with the native doctor for a spiritual consultation. He allegedly instructed her to keep the visit secret, even from her children.
HOW IT HAPPENED
On a Sunday morning, her eldest daughter recounted that a strange number called her mother. Mrs. Afolabi stepped outside to answer the call, returned moments later, picked up her handbag, and hurried out of the house.
When her 18-year-old daughter asked where she was going, she refused to reveal her destination.
That was the last time they saw her alive.
Her phone rang repeatedly throughout the day before suddenly going off.
The family’s worst fears were confirmed when news broke that Mrs. Afolabi had been lured by the native doctor and his accomplices, who brutally k!lled her and dismembered her body for ritual purposes.
K!LLER ARRESTED WHILE TRANSPORTING BODY PARTS
In a twist of fate, one of the perpetrators was caught in Badagry while transporting parts of the woman’s body to an undisclosed location. He was arrested, and upon interrogation, he confessed to the crime, revealing that the native doctor and other accomplices fled immediately after the act.
Security agencies are currently on the trail of the remaining suspects.
