Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has shared a deeply emotional personal account involving popular cleric Pastor Chris Okafor, during an interview on the YouTube platform KAA Truths.
Speaking in the interview, Ogala narrated her version of events and experiences, stressing that her statements reflect her personal account and perceptions. She expressed strong emotions while discussing the impact the relationship had on her life, stating that referring to Okafor as a prophet was, in her words, “an insult to God.”
According to Ogala, her first encounter with Okafor occurred in 2017, when she was 23 years old. She said they met at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), where she claimed he later collected her contact details and reached out to her.
Describing the beginning of their interaction, Ogala said she felt an immediate emotional pull, which she referred to as “hypnotism at first sight,” rather than love.
She further stated that she later attended a church service on December 31, 2017, at Ojodu Berger, after being invited by Okafor. According to her, he told her he was a pastor and divorced, and their interaction continued thereafter.
Ogala said she later travelled to the Eastern part of Nigeria, where she visited Okafor’s village near Umuahia and met members of his family. She claimed that the trip was witnessed by individuals within the Nollywood industry, including the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, whom she said was aware of her closeness to Okafor but not of any romantic involvement.
During the interview, Rollas was reportedly contacted and confirmed that he travelled with her to the village, though he clarified that he did not have knowledge of a romantic relationship.
Ogala also recounted events surrounding her marriage to another man, which she described as unhappy and abusive. She stated that Okafor remained someone she confided in during that period and that he often spoke critically about her marriage. She emphasized that she did not engage in a physical relationship with Okafor while she was married.
According to Ogala, she later left her marriage following continued personal challenges. She claimed that Okafor offered emotional support during that period and that they later spent time together in Lagos.
She further mentioned a dispute involving a South African blogger known as Prof Ex, alleging that there were attempts at blackmail. Ogala stated that statements were written with the involvement of legal representatives and submitted to relevant law enforcement agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Throughout the interview, Ogala maintained that she felt emotionally influenced and manipulated, noting that these were her personal reflections based on her experience.
Her comments have generated widespread public discussion online. As of the time of this report, Pastor Chris Okafor has not issued a public response to the claims made during the interview.
