Months after Nollywood actress Luchy Donalds quietly ended her relationship with former Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, she has finally spoken out, shedding light on what truly led to their breakup.
In a recent revelation, Luchy described her relationship with Ighalo as a good one, emphasizing that the football star was not the cause of their separation. According to her, the real challenge came from the people around him.
She explained that being in a relationship goes beyond just the two people involved. “When some people surrounding your man are very hostile and make you appear like a gold digger, it becomes difficult to handle,” she said.
Luchy described Ighalo as “a calm and handsome man” but noted that the atmosphere created by those close to him made things uncomfortable. She added that while many may argue that since Ighalo treated her well, it shouldn’t have been a problem, relationships don’t work that way.
She further stressed that it is important to maintain harmony not only with one’s partner but also with the people around them. “If the people around him aren’t reciprocating your kindness, one negative person among them can ruin your union through lies or hatred,” she said.
According to the actress, she simply did not have the energy to keep up with the hostility, and rather than remain in a strained environment, she chose to walk away and focus on her peace.
