Nigerian music star, KCee, has opened up on why he chose to keep his marriage and family life far away from the public eye for many years.
Sharing the wisdom he got from veteran entertainer Daddy Showkey, KCee explained that the singer advised him to marry early and keep it strictly private to protect the union from unnecessary interference.
According to KCee, the idea was simple: once the public becomes involved too early, external pressure and opinions can destabilize even a young, solid marriage.
KCee revealed that after tying the knot, he and his wife deliberately unfollowed each other on Facebook and every other social media platform to avoid attention. They agreed to build their relationship quietly, without external noise.
He added that when his children were born, he sent them to stay with their mother abroad to maintain that same level of privacy and protection.
However, during the COVID-19 lockdown, KCee finally decided to share photos of his wife and children online, a rare glimpse into the personal life he had guarded for years.
The singer also highlighted how deeply he embraced Daddy Showkey’s approach. Showkey, according to him, kept his own marriage so private that he avoided visiting his children’s school to ensure they received no special treatment and lived normal lives. KCee said he adopted that same philosophy for the wellbeing of his family.
The revelation has sparked admiration from fans who praise the singer for prioritizing peace and protecting his loved ones in an industry where public scrutiny is constant.
