Nigeria has emerged as the world’s leading country in mobile video call usage, highlighting the nation’s strong adoption of mobile-first communication and digital connectivity.

Recent data shows that 75.4 percent of Nigerians actively use mobile video calling, placing the country far ahead of others on the global ranking. The development reflects how smartphones have become central to daily life in Nigeria, supporting communication for work, business, social interaction, and family connections.

South Africa ranks second with 53.9 percent, followed by the Philippines at 49.5 percent. The United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, and Vietnam also feature prominently on the list, underlining the global shift toward mobile-based communication platforms.
