Dear DSP Okoye Henry,
Your recent public denial of the numerous allegations surrounding Tiger Base, Owerri, has drawn significant attention from citizens, observers, and the wider Nigerian public. While your statement has been noted, it is important to acknowledge that public confidence cannot be rebuilt through verbal assurances alone—especially when the accusations are as grave and emotionally heavy as those linked to Tiger Base.
If, as you insist, Tiger Base has no involvement in the atrocities being alleged, then the following independent, transparent, and verifiable steps should pose no threat to the truth. In fact, these measures would offer the Imo State Command a rare opportunity to demonstrate integrity, transparency, and commitment to justice.
1. Immediate Drug Testing for All Tiger Base Officers
All officers currently serving—or who have served in Tiger Base within the last three years—should undergo drug testing.
This should be conducted by a neutral and credible medical institution with no affiliation to the police.
2. Public, Unrestricted Tour of Tiger Base
Grant full access to the press, civil society groups, and independent observers for an on-site tour of Tiger Base.
Live streaming should be permitted throughout the visit.
True transparency requires open doors, not curated visits.
3. Scientific Ground Examination of the Premises
Authorize Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) scans, Soil Probe Testing, and Electrical Resistivity Imaging within a 50-meter radius of the facility.
These are globally recognized, non-invasive scientific tools used to detect underground disturbances or anomalies.
If nothing is hidden, nothing should be feared.
4. Full Financial Disclosure of All Tiger Base Officers
Officers who have served in Tiger Base within the last three years should publicly declare and submit their statements of accounts for independent review.
Patterns of unexplained wealth or suspicious financial movements are essential indicators in any credible investigation.
5. Participation in a Neutral, Open X-Space Conversation
You should agree to speak publicly with citizens, activists, journalists, and independent bodies on a monitored X Space.
This platform will allow you to defend the integrity of Tiger Base transparently before a national audience.
These recommendations are not designed to punish anyone. They are necessary steps to restore loss of trust, remove doubts, and clear the air around the Imo State Police Command.
If Tiger Base is truly as clean as you have stated, then these steps should be welcomed—not resisted.
The public now waits for your honorable acceptance of these measures.
Signed,
A Concerned Nigerian
