  • Pastor Jimmy Odukoya Pens Emotional Tribute to His Late Mother, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, 20 Years After Sosoliso Plane Crash

  • Today marks exactly 20 years since the tragic Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash of December 10, 2005 — an accident that claimed the life of beloved televangelist and marriage counselor, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya.

Her son, Pastor Jimmy Odukoya, has taken to social media to share a heartfelt message in her honor, reflecting on two decades without her physical presence and the impact she continues to have on his life.

In his emotional note, he wrote:

“Hey Mum… Today marks 20 years since you’ve been gone… Where did the time go? One thing is for sure; I have carried you every day with me since God took you home. Your rings stay close to my heart and I remember with every beat that I miss you.”

Jimmy, who now leads Fountain of Life Church — the ministry his parents built — revealed that his mother had always seen his pastoral calling long before he accepted it.

“Guess what?! You sure were right! I did end up becoming a Pastor. The whole time I thought you were crazy but I guess the joke is on me!”

He also shared how much his children know about the grandmother they never met:

“You would love your grandkids! They know all about ‘HeavenGrandma’ — that I made sure of.”

The actor-turned-pastor ended his tribute by expressing his desire to continue his mother’s legacy—a legacy of faith, compassion, and family.

“Know that I’m carrying on your legacy; hope I’m making you proud. Love you mum, now and always. P.S. Say hi to Dad for me.”

Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, known for her “Single & Married” ministry, remains an unforgettable figure in Nigerian Christian circles. Two decades after her passing, her influence continues to resonate through her teachings, her family, and those whose lives she touched.
