  • Senator Ned Nwoko Breaks Silence on Coordinated Online Harassment and Defamation Campaign, Directs Lawyers to Pursue Legal Action
  • Distinguished Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has issued an official statement addressing what his office describes as a renewed and coordinated campaign of online harassment, cyber-stalking, and malicious defamation targeted at him and his family.

In the strongly worded statement released today through his Communications Team, Senator Nwoko expressed deep concern over orchestrated efforts to create a false narrative of persecution using doctored videos, fabricated stories, and anonymous social media accounts.

    The statement reads in part:

    > “These actions appear calculated to create a false narrative of persecution in order to serve ulterior motives… When grave allegations are made, they must be addressed in accordance with the law, not through misinformation or emotional manipulation.”

Senator Nwoko cautioned Nigerians against the growing culture of weaponizing public sympathy through falsehood, warning that “today, falsehood may be deployed against one individual; tomorrow, it may be directed at anyone.”

He has formally instructed his legal team to file petitions with the Inspector General of Police, the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Commissioner of Police (Cyber Crime Unit) for a thorough investigation and prosecution of individuals and groups behind the ongoing cyber harassment and criminal defamation. All relevant digital footprints, according to the statement, will be traced and lawful action pursued without compromise.

In an unusual diplomatic tone, the statement also appealed to the Governments of the United States and the United Kingdom to note that attempts to stage artificial drama around a stable family structure for undue advantage or asylum-seeking purposes are unacceptable and should be discouraged.

Senator Nwoko urged Nigerians to disregard the circulating false narratives and allow due legal process to take its course, while reaffirming his unwavering focus on legislative duties, developmental projects, and national service.
