A heartbreaking account shared on Facebook by a woman identified as Akwaugo has stirred deep emotions online, recounting the painful final days of a sick woman who was allegedly abandoned and abused by her own family before her death.
According to the narrator, the incident occurred several years ago when one of her tenants’ elder sisters fell critically ill after contracting HIV/AIDS. The woman, who had reportedly spent much of her life caring for her younger siblings following the death of their parents, became gravely sick years after losing her husband to the same illness.
She was said to have supported her younger brother financially, sponsoring his training as a car mechanic and helping him establish his own workshop. However, when her health deteriorated, things reportedly took a cruel turn.
The narrator alleged that the sick woman was driven out of her brother’s home by his wife and forced to sleep outside with her children. As her condition worsened, the narrator intervened, providing shelter for the woman in a separate space within her building due to the severity of her illness. She also took in and cared for the woman’s children.
Despite these efforts, the woman’s health continued to decline. Hospitals allegedly refused to admit her due to the advanced stage of her condition. The situation reached a disturbing climax one night when the narrator claimed she heard noises from the brother’s apartment and discovered that the sick woman was being physically assaulted by her brother, allegedly encouraged by his wife.

The narrator also claimed that the woman appeared to her in a dream two years after her death, delivering a chilling message about ongoing suffering.
In a final twist, the narrator revealed that the same man later reached out to her for financial assistance, citing extreme hardship. She added that the family now reportedly lives in an uncompleted building, while the wife, who once owned a large salon, now survives on menial jobs.
