Three brothers, now widely referred to as the Omatu Brothers, have been confirmed dead after reportedly being trapped in the rubble for seven days without rescue.
According to those close to the family, the victims — Steve Omatu, Kenechukwu Omatu, and Casmir — remained stuck inside the collapsed structure while desperate efforts were made to draw attention to their situation. Sadly, help never came in time.
There are growing concerns and outrage over what many have described as failure on the part of authorities to respond swiftly, as grieving loved ones allege that repeated cries for urgent intervention were ignored.
“Human life has no value in this country. We watched them die,” a devastated source lamented as the community continues to mourn the loss of the three young men.
