A Nigerian man identified as Wisdom Buchi has publicly denied claims that he is in a romantic relationship with a woman who has allegedly been presenting herself as his partner.
In a statement shared online, Buchi said he was forced to speak out after weeks of what he described as persistent harassment and false claims made in his name. According to him, the woman, identified as Amedu Elizabeth Ojochide, has allegedly been sending messages to people on his social media followers list—particularly women—warning them to stay away from him.
Buchi firmly stated that he has no relationship whatsoever with the woman and claims he has never met her in person. He further alleged that she has been telling people that they are dating and that she is pregnant for him—claims he described as completely false.
“I have tried to ignore this for a long time, but it has now reached a point where my name and peace of mind are being affected,” he said.
He added that several attempts to stop the situation privately, including warnings and threats of legal action, have reportedly failed. According to him, the situation has caused significant emotional distress and reputational damage.
Buchi said his decision to make the issue public was solely to clarify the situation and alert the public, adding that he hopes people around the woman can intervene to prevent further escalation.
He also warned that if the actions continue, he may be left with no choice but to pursue legal steps to protect himself.
As of the time of filing this report, the woman mentioned has not publicly responded to the allegations.
