UK-Based Nigerian Lady narrates how her long-term relationship with Singer Segun Johnson came to an end

A UK-based Nigerian woman has dropped a bombshell that is currently trending across social media platforms. In a voice note that has now gone viral, the lady (who wishes to remain unnamed for personal reasons) opened up about how her 13-year relationship with popular singer Segun Johnson crashed in the most painful way possible.

According to her, after over a decade together in the United Kingdom, Segun suddenly pressured her to pack her bags and return to Nigeria. She obeyed, thinking it was a new chapter for both of them. But what came next left her completely shattered.

“He made me relocate back to Nigeria and ended our 13-year relationship with a voice note,” she said.

Just like that. No face-to-face conversation. No explanation in person. Just a cold voice note delivered after she had already left her life, her job, and her comfort in the UK.

The lady went further, addressing the usual relationship debates that always trend online.

“And y’all are still talking about co-habiting. And excess access.”

Her words hit hard. Many Nigerians have been arguing back and forth about whether living together before marriage or giving your partner “too much access” is the real problem in relationships. But this story, she says, proves that even when you sacrifice everything — including leaving abroad to be with your man — it can still end in the most disrespectful manner.

The story has sparked massive reactions online, with many women sharing similar experiences of being “relocated and dumped.” Some are calling out Segun Johnson directly, while others are using the saga to warn ladies against making life-altering decisions based on “I love you” promises.

As at the time of filing this report, Segun Johnson is yet to respond to the allegations.

This is one heartbreak story that reminds everyone: sometimes the red flags come after the relocation, not before.

What do you think? Is relocating for love still worth it in 2026? Drop your comments below.
