Doctor Dies After Delivering Triplets in Bayelsa


A medical doctor, Dr. Ere Ogbachi, has died in Bayelsa State after developing complications shortly after delivering triplets.

According to family sources, she gave birth at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Okolobiri, before her condition worsened.

She was subsequently transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of the Federal Medical Centre Yenagoa, where she passed away at about 2:45 a.m. on April 14, 2026.

Family members disclosed that medical personnel made concerted efforts to stabilize her after complications set in, but her condition deteriorated despite intervention.
