A member of the National Assembly representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Sharafadeen Ali, has paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos State.
According to reports, the meeting took place on Monday evening at the President’s private residence in Ikoyi. While details of the discussion were not made public, the visit has fueled political speculation within Oyo State.
There are indications that Ali is being considered as a possible consensus candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 governorship election in the state.
The senator, alongside two other Ibadan high chiefs—Bolaji Adewoyin and Kola Babalola—was also recently elevated to the status of crown-wearing Obas by the Oyo State Government, a development that has further raised his political profile.
His visit forms part of a series of high-level engagements by the President, who is currently in Lagos for the Easter break.
Photos from the meeting, which have circulated widely online, show both men in a cordial interaction at the Ikoyi residence, further intensifying interest in the evolving political dynamics ahead of 2027.
