Nigerian media personality Roby Ekpo has publicly shared details about his failed marriage to his ex-wife, Mayowa Lambe, describing it as a painful experience marked by emotional and financial strain.
Ekpo made the revelations during a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he recounted the circumstances that led to the collapse of their 11-year union, which produced no children.
Speaking during the interview, Ekpo claimed he had consistently supported his wife financially, particularly after she relocated abroad. However, he alleged that communication between them abruptly stopped in 2021, leaving him confused and heartbroken.
According to him, efforts to understand their inability to have children led him to undergo medical tests. He further alleged that he later discovered his ex-wife had been using contraceptives during the marriage—an issue he believes may have contributed to their childlessness.
Ekpo also referenced a message he claimed to have seen, in which his ex-wife allegedly expressed dissatisfaction with the marriage. In the message, she reportedly cited lack of emotional, financial, and spiritual support, as well as concerns about intimacy.
In addition, he recounted an incident involving a trip she took to the United States while they were still married. According to Ekpo, she had informed him she was traveling for a medical procedure that could aid conception, but he later alleged that the trip was for cosmetic surgery.
Recent reports indicate that Mayowa Lambe has since remarried, tying the knot with another partner last week.
As of the time of this report, Mayowa Lambe has not publicly responded to the claims made by her ex-husband.
