Ogun 2027: Senator Adeola Unveils Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun as Running Mate

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has officially unveiled Alhaja Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun as his running mate ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

The announcement was made on Sunday during a gathering of party stakeholders held at the APC Secretariat along Abiola Way in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

Presenting his running mate to party leaders and supporters, Adeola described Adegunwa-Balogun as a capable partner who would work alongside him to advance the state's development agenda.

He said her selection was based on the shared vision of moving Ogun State forward and ensuring greater progress across various sectors.

The unveiling ceremony attracted several prominent figures within the party, including Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, APC State Chairman Chief Yemisi Sanusi, former Senator Gbenga Kaka, and Senator Akin Odunsi, among other party stakeholders.

The event is seen as a significant step in the APC's preparations for the 2027 governorship election, as the party seeks to consolidate its political influence in the state.

Party members at the gathering expressed optimism about the ticket, describing it as a strategic combination capable of strengthening the party's chances at the polls.

Political observers believe the choice of Adegunwa-Balogun could further broaden the APC's appeal among key voting blocs across the state as campaigns gradually begin to take shape ahead of the election season.

More details regarding the campaign agenda and policy direction of the APC governorship ticket are expected to emerge in the coming months.
