Tinubu Will Overcome Nigeria’s Challenges With God’s Help, Umahi Declares

Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has expressed confidence that God will continue to guide President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in leading Nigeria until 2031, saying the administration will receive divine support to overcome the country's challenges and drive national development.

Umahi made the remarks on Thursday while inspecting ongoing bridge projects in Lagos State, including the Carter Bridge, which is scheduled to undergo reconstruction beginning next week.

Speaking during the inspection, the minister said he believes Tinubu's administration enjoys divine backing and will continue to receive the wisdom needed to address pressing national issues, particularly insecurity.

“The same God that brought him is going to be there to solve all the problems,” Umahi said.

He appealed to Nigerians to support the Federal Government and cooperate with ongoing efforts aimed at tackling insecurity and promoting development across the country.

According to the minister, no responsible leader wishes to preside over a nation facing instability, but every government must confront challenges whenever they arise.

“There is no leader who will not want his reign to be peaceful, but when crises come, the leader must confront them. That is exactly what we are doing,” he stated.

Umahi added that regardless of whether the country's security challenges are politically motivated or caused by other factors, he remains confident that President Tinubu will receive the strength and wisdom required to overcome them.

He also expressed optimism that the administration would successfully complete all infrastructure projects initiated under its tenure.

“Your hands that have started this will complete it,” the minister said, reaffirming his belief that the President's leadership continues to enjoy divine favour.

Speaking on the rehabilitation of Carter Bridge, Umahi disclosed that reconstruction work is expected to commence next week and would be completed within three years.

“It is within our five-year plan,” he added.

The Federal Government has continued to prioritise road and bridge infrastructure as part of its broader agenda to improve transportation networks, boost economic activities, and enhance connectivity across the country.
