Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has offered to support DJ Chicken as the entertainer continues to face legal proceedings over his alleged threat against Seyi Tinubu.
According to Sowore, he is willing to step in and assist if anyone can connect him with DJ Chicken’s family or relatives.
He said he wants to help challenge the charges against the entertainer, saying that he should not remain behind bars.
In his words:
“If anyone knows how to reach DJ Chicken’s family or relatives, I will be happy to advocate for him and help him challenge the burdensome charges brought against him by the jobless Police. It is appalling that this Tinubu regime continues to direct its prosecutorial powers against so many young Nigerians.
I want to help get DJ Chicken out of prison because I do not believe he deserves to spend a day behind bars; he is entitled to his liberty under the law. It is Seyi Tinubu who ships young ladies on private jets to Abuja who are drggd in sx-crzed parties in Abuja, who needs to be in prison.”
DJ Chicken, whose real name is Ademola Abiodun, was arrested after a video surfaced in which he allegedly thre.atened Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu. The video was later deleted, but the matter was taken up by law enforcement authorities, leading to his arrest and the ongoing court case.
Sowore maintained that he believes DJ Chicken deserves legal support and should be allowed to defend himself in court without remaining in detention
. He also used the opportunity to criticize the authorities over the way the case is being handled while reiterating his willingness to assist if he is able to reach the entertainer’s family
